Delightful little child oak armchair commode c.1780. Fabulous example, solid oak throughout with a shaped top rail and arms supported with turned front staves. Notice how the rear staves kick backwards at the base to provide extra stability and stop the chair from tipping over backwards. Superb colour and condition. Note whilst the seat appears to retain it’s hinges it has been fixed in place and no longer lifts.
