18CT Gold Waltham Hunter Watch, 17J PS Bartlett


A very good quality, rare, 18CT Gold Waltham Hunter Cased Pocket Watch.
This watch is an excellent example, in good condition and very good working order.
The English made, 18 carat solid gold hunter case is in excellent condition. It is stamped with the case maker's name "Dennison Watch Case Co" and hallmarked with the maker's mark "ALD" for Aaron Lufkin Dennison, the "crown" and "18" for 18 carat gold, the "anchor" Birmingham town mark and date letter "S" for 1917/18.
The white enamel dial is in excellent condition, it has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock.
The good quality, high grade, 17 Jewels, P S Bartlett, Waltham movement is in excellent working order. It is signed by the maker "P S Bartlett, Waltham Mass" and "17 Jewels, adjusted". It has a lovely damaskeened finish. It also has a micro-metric regulator. All signs of a very good watch.
The watch measures 50mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown). The weight is 108.5g. Specialists in Antique Pocket Watches & Vintage Wristwatches, Jewellery, Silver (including Scottish Provincial),Good Quality Antiques & Works of Art.
