A very attractive, antique, Victorian 18CT Gold Fob Pocket Watch made by W C Shaw of Glasgow, Scotland and dating from c1860.
The decorative gold case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "JWS", the "crown" and "18" for 18 carat gold alongside the London town mark and date letter "d" for 1859/60.
The rear cover is engraved with a landscape scene including a castle in the background. The inner cuvette is also decoratively engraved.
The movement signed by the maker "W C Shaw, 92 Buchanan Street, Glasgow" and has the serial number 4920. Specialists in Antique Pocket Watches & Vintage Wristwatches, Jewellery, Silver (including Scottish Provincial),Good Quality Antiques & Works of Art.
