The dial is signed 'The Climax Trip Action Patent' above 'H Samuel, Manchester'. A good quality keywind mechanism signed H Samuel, Manchester and numbered 551119. An outer mechanism cover, stamped 'Climax Reg, guaranteed English Manufacture Throughout'. London silver hallmarks date this watch to 1896. This watch comes with an H Samuel advertising pocket watch key.
