382 mostly facsimile pages. 42 x 32 cm. paper slighthly warped, edges dusty and one edge frayed as issued.
1 of 115 copies (from a complete edition of 750 copies) of the de Luxe edition on Papier Madagascar which was published for the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles with 45 pochoir illustrations.
Milivoj Uzelac (1897-1977) was a Croatian artist, influential in the Zagreb modern art scene of the 1920s and 30s. During the Zagreb Spring Salon of the 1920s, he participated with Vilko Gecan, Marijan Trepše and Vladimir Varlaj as the Group of Four. Uzelac spent much of his professional life in France, and is best known for his portraits and interior scenes with bohemian characters.
Les Joies du Sport is one of his best known and most sought after works as it depicts sports which are very rarely illustrated. Payment can be made with cash, cheques, money transfer, PayPal and most credt/debit cards.
