Description

This rare and exquisite Georgian silver gilt and red agate vinaigrette was made by Thomas Willmore and is dated Birmingham 1815. Of oval form, the front cover set with a hard stone cabochon. The back and sides plain.
The silver gilt interior with an exquisite pierced grille.

Hallmarks:

TW for Thomas Willmore
Lion Passant.
Duty mark.
Date letter "r" for 1815.

Condition:

Excellent.
Good hinge on both vinaigrette and grille.
